Andrew Kight represents debtors and creditors in out of court workouts and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, renegotiating and restructuring loans and credit obligations, commercial and bankruptcy litigation, and dispute resolution. After 15 years as an associate and partner at Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP (formerly Sommer Barnard PC), Andy joined Jacobson Hile Kight LLC. Andy graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York in 1993, and received his J.D. from Indiana University-Maurer School of Law (Bloomington) in 1997. Before entering private practice, Andy served in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Navy. For several years, Andy has represented one of the nation’s largest automobile floorplan financiers, formulating and coordinating their national bankruptcy practice and representing the company in all aspects of bankruptcy, including protection of secured creditor and claims rights in bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings. Andy is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and has been honored by Best Lawyers for Bankruptcy and Creditor Debtor Rights / Insolvency and Reorganization Law. Andy is admitted to the bar of the State of Indiana, the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
